What are your thoughts on Bamboo flooring?

I’m looking to install a type of flooring in my home, and I’ve been considering bamboo flooring because it’s supposedly a fairly decent hardwood which looks good, relatively cheap, and a renewable type of wood unlike cherry or teak.

I was wondering if you DIY-ers would know the pros and especially cons of this relatively new flooring material.

I live in the Boston area in a 1980’s built condo complex, so the interior is fairly maintained year-round.

Thanks!

Happy New Year!

I want to install bamboo floors and was looking for a durable product as I have kids and a dog. I read somewhere the woven type was the best but I was also looking for brands that are recommended.

I followed manufactures instructions , cleaned concrete floor pryer to installing. opened boxes, stacked criss cross, waited two day for flooring to adjust to room temp. trowel down with mastic glue. checked floor for leveling (o.k.) Should I have left room for expantion between the tounge and grooves ?
